A New Hope?!
| For those of you still reading this… DO NOT DESPAIR!
There is a new hope for TARUNATION! Yes, you heard me. Not just HEARTSTATION, but actual TARUNATION! With the release of FFXIV on the horizon, I have been invited to the FFXIV Blog team. What is this, you ask? Why, it’s a team of the best FFXI/WoW bloggers on the intrawebz all compiled into one neat little package: www.ffxivblog.com !! Headed by The Star Onion’s Maiev, it will feature articles from Etain, Kimiko, and most likely yours truly! It is run on the FFXIAH server, for those interested. Currently we are in the process of picking out an appropriate layout/theme. Guess that’s where my cannibalistic self comes in. I’m sure you remember my old FFXI layout that mirrored that of the official FFXI website. Now it’s time to make a new and fitting one for FFXIV! And with a team like this, we’d be pretty hard-press to screw this up. I will be sure to keep you updated as things progress. |

Final Broadcast: Destination Unknown
It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I believe I owe everyone a little explanation!
The great giant that was <Nocuous> has fallen. The 6hr+ raid nights killed the officers, and the lack of effort from certain others killed the hardcore raiders like myself. The officers transfered off. Ogtach and a few others left. Nocuous isn’t Nocuous without Ogtach. I have not logged into WoW since — and that was over three weeks ago. I have quit WoW; I can’t bare to start all over in a new guild on another server.
I love you all, my little Noc peeps. You made the game fun, even when things in my life weren’t. And a special thanks to my dear Kadez for renewing my faith in the game, for however brief period of time that was. I’m always thankful to you for the time we had together.
For those of you that know me, you can find me in City of Villains. For some others, you can find me in Second Life. I doubt I will post about any of those things on the blog. I remember how long it took me to renew the Tarunation subscriber base after I switched to WoW, and I won’t do that to you guys again. There is a Second Life blog somewhere out there on the free WordPress for those of you so inclined to find it. But it’s nowhere as indepth as Tarunation or Heartstation were.
Thank you, all of you that stuck through it with me. All the drama, all the content, all the ups and downs! Lots of love goes out to all of you.
This concludes the final broadcast from your Heartstation of Sinners.
Destination: Unknown.

Noblehalcyon!
With the Noblegarden rabbit, which Zedak helped me camp eggs for… I now have *drumroll*…
Lil’ Game Hunter and my [Little Fawn's Salt Lick]!!
That’s right, I finally reached 75 pets! And I have to tell you, this little guy is so adorable. I put the red ribbon leash on him and parade him around Dalaran, squealing the whole time!
Noblegarden itself has proved to be simple but quite tedious. Camping those eggs just to get the items needed gets boring very fast. But at least RNG-related items are no longer parts of meta achievements. Zedak and I did some of the achievements before RL kicked my ass. But, I should be back Friday to finish Noblegarden and prepare for Children’s Week!
Oh, and Ulduar raids don’t work too well if 80% of your raid is composed of cuddly white bunny-rabbits.

Mimiron Can Suck My Holy Ass.
You like what I did with that play on words there? “Holy ass.” But seriously. I have been looking at my second window on my Dual Spec ever since it came out, trying to figure out what I will do with it…
Well, Mimiron solved that little problem. Go ahead, Armoury me. Look at my secondary spec and glyphs. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, the HOLY NOVA GLYPH. Coupled with the Prayer of Healing 2/2 and the Prayer of Healing Glyph. I may as well trade my halo for a plastic helmet and go ride the short bus to raids. That’s how I felt the entire Mimiron fight with that spec. But the funny thing? It fucking WORKS. I wouldn’t be caught dead in that hideous thing anywhere else, but just for this cockblock of a boss I will wear my Dee-Dee-Dee spec proudly.
Of course, General Vezax has been an equal cockblock for us. I didn’t raid Monday night. I haven’t even logged on. So I have no idea if Nocuous managed to get him down or not, and if they got to see Yogg-Saron yet. RL has been kicking my ass… Those of you that know me don’t need the details on that one.
But Friday I should be back in business — on here, and on WoW!

Champion of the Phoenix.
I think He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named would be so proud right about now. I am now called “Halcyon of Silvermoon.” I fought under the Silvermoon banner in the Argent Championship, and since I was already exalted with them, I earned my title: [Exalted Champion of Silvermoon]!
Makes me really wish that I was still on an RP server. The roleplaying possibilities just from having that title and my [Argent Gruntling] are absolutely endless. But… No one to RP with hehe.
But yes, I am trying to keep busy. Things are getting a little hairy and the emo music seems to be abundant lately (see post below). So, am trying to make my mind occupied with other things. Yesterday (Tuesday) Nocuous managed to take down 7 Ulduar bosses. Now we just need to not get stuck on Mimiron again.
Anara’nel belore!

Fun Things!
Yes, we got server first Ignis kill yesterday.
Either people have been making him much harder than he really is, or our healers were really on the ball with this one. We only lost a few people through the whole fight, getting him down on our third or fourth attempt. The above screenshot was taken for shits and giggles when a wipe was called. Don’t stand in Ignis’ fire!!
Kologarn took a little while to learn too. Apperantly people can’t dodge eye beams. It was like Illidan all over again lol. And here is a screenshot of me being crushed to death by his right arm… Amazingly, I lived.
And this one is for Tuufless. I don’t know if you can see it so well or not, but I’m on my [Magnificent Flying Carpet] mount in Dalaran! “A whole new woooorld!”
Aside from tonight taking it’s toll on me, all this raiding has actually been very fun. And believe it or not, wiping has also been very welcome. One- or two-shotting most of Naxxramas within the first week was really kind of lame. So it’s quite refreshing to finally be presented with bosses that require raiders to actually think instead of faceroll.
I just wish people in Ventrilo would STFU. The later it got into the night, the more people would all talk at once, making me feel like a schizophrenic without her meds — MAKE THE VOICES GO AWAY! Actually makes me miss the old FFXI days when Ventrilo and TeamSpeak were still only budding concepts, and you had to run 64-man “raids” without any kind of VoIP.
Anyway, look for more Ulduar updates soon!

Ulduar Marathon!
So we’ve been raiding what feels like non-stop since Ulduar has come out. Friday and Saturday nights used to be off-nights when people did whatever/whomever. But this week we have stayed anywhere from 2 to 4 hours later each night, and raided on off-nights.
From Tuesday to Sunday, feels like I’ve just been living in Ulduar with all those Vrykuul. So… so tired.
But we’ve gotten quite a few bosses down now! Please, read the full post to see all the pictures of downed bosses. There’s a lot, so I don’t want to just put them in a post on the front page lol.
